Flurry of Chickens, Beautiful Old Snaphot Photo early clock hatted figures--two in profile onThough with face is pretty much entirely obfuscated by the flurry, looks to me like the human here is holding a bucket of feed, and likely has some in their cupped and extended hand too. Having spent a couple of years on a farm feeding chickens and other farm animals (goats are the craziest!), I think there is really nothing else quite like that moment of arriving with food for the flock for me, always a heart racing mix of panic and pleasure as one
