Colorful Checkerboard Antique Needlepoint Square, Larger of Two metal inlay dominoes 7" t x 4 7/8"Pure joyful color! I believe this was meant to be made into a potholder, but it was never backed (which I think is a good thing, as one gets to see the back!) It could be made in one yet, but I might be inclined to frame it as is c. 1870s or so I believe but looking ultra modern. 5" x 5" and in very good condition, clean and crisp, with super saturated color and neatly hand stitched hem on reverse. There are just a couple of lost stitches, as
