Enjoined Folk Art Iron Snakes! standing noisemaker I am not an expert

I am not an expert on pin cushions so am not completely sure the age of this

With a disk number and sticker on the underside

and perhaps the bird on reverse

the banded toning seems rather the result of being folded against another column of threads

Enjoined Folk Art Iron Snakes! standing noisemaker I am not an expertA two headed snake, or or a pair of them, together forever! Made from an old threaded iron rod as an end of day whimsy by an iron worker or machinist, or as a found object folk creation later on, I'm not entirely sure, but a great little sculpture either way, with some age to it for sure. 4 3 8" l x 2 1 8" d x 2 1 4" t and in good condition. I realized from photos I didn't dust it off especially well, but will do before sending!
