There is a small loss to the lip on the bottom half of the box and a bit of separation at the tail of the lapped interior

Certainly it could still be used as a notebook, or as a folio of sorts to stick clippings or notes inside, or someone handy might use keep the cover and fill it with new pages. I just couldn't let this owl go, and love the wear to the honey brown velvet too. 8 1 8" x 6 3
