with what I take for a wolf (though perhaps just a big black dog) turning its back and walking away from what I assume are a couple of grazing goats

executed in graphite and crayon on very heavy weight wove art paper

and I believe it is an "ink eraser

Wonderful Cut Paper Tribute to FDR, with Silhouette, Framed as Found hunting notebook is unmarked from what II find this really wonderful. Probably done as school work, but I think quite transcendent. And feels like a poignant moment for thinking about FDR including as we watch our social safety net disappear. The arching cut paper numbers mark the span of his presidency. And then this silhouette bust on column, which feels very full of life to me. To my eye just right, down to every detail and imperfection. 10 3 4" x 8 3 4", framed, under glass, as found.
