I don't know a thing about the origins of this carved sculpture (which I don't think photos quite do justice)

Beware of Modern Love, Old Punch Paper Needlepoint, Framed antique treen string holder I believe this tiny oneAs I've said before, the diversity of messages on these old punch perforated paper needlepoints just kills me, and here is a perfect case in point! I'd love to know exactly the context in which this one was stitched perhaps by a young woman recently betrayed? Or by her mother, sending her a message?! Whatever the case, quite a thing, made all the better by the period at the end of the phrase; no equivocation there! And with a loss to the lower left
