including for the fact that they're plenty large and heavy to function as bookends (or doorstops for that matter

I think this is a fantastic drawing--giving form to "stuck"-ness in an explicitly literal (and very 1970s) way

but I might guess they were a student at somewhere like the Art Students League in NYC in the 1930s -40s

Painted by a Willie Gaori of the "Gaori homestead," c. 1940s or so I believe. 5 7 8" x 4 1 4" x 3 4" and in good condition.
