The carving of that hair is quite wonderful, and her carved face, with subtly painted red lips, is too. And a bit funny how she's carved to sit with her legs spread wide. I believe she was likely modeled after a "Frozen Charlotte" china doll a folky homemade version carved of wood. With string ties at her joints and
