it might peel off with a little effort but I did not want to mess with it and it more or less disappears) and a little spotting to the surface on the left bottom corner of the vase

"The Guide to Happines" Christmas 1848 Punch Paper Embroidery Bookmark painted porcelain dish The second donkey has aQuite an early punch paper embroidery, dated Dec. 25, 1848, and I think a pretty great one, casting the bible as "the guide to happiness" minus one "s". Pretty wreath of greens encircling the book, and lovely silk ribbon for the bookmark too. All in remarkably good condition. Embroidery itself: 3 5 8" x 2". Overall: 13 1 2" x 2 3 8". Very very good condition.
