This beautiful, dignified artwork, based on a vintage German holy card, shows the grapevine and the wheat, which has been transubstantiated on the alter into the Eucharist, the Lamb of God. Above the chalice is the wafer, with JHS on it, which stands for Jesus Hominum Salvator (Latin: Jesus Savior of Mankind). Above that we have the larger circle, signifying the Eucharist
