Evocative Old Hand-sewn Doll Body with Wooden Arms and Many Mends vintage Red Cross pins with very minor age toningI just couldn't resist this one, who lost her head (I believe likely a Minerva type German tin one) along the way but which I find all the better without one. I just love the patchwork of grain sack bust giving way to carved wooden arms, pink abdomen, plaid underwear of sorts, and blue purple stocking legs, embroidered with what look like mushrooms or umbrellas or arrows down the side. Plus all sorts of mends and reinforcements. Quite a thing! Early
