EF Payne Model 198 Fly Rod 7'6" 3/2 #4/5 8'9" Up-locking nickel-silver reel seat withA nice EF Payne model 198 bamboo fly rod, 7'6", 3 piece, 2 tip, and built for a #5 line. Dry fly action. Weighs 3. 8 ounces. A very high quality refinished rod that is a late 1940's or early 1950's vintage (I'm told that the refinish was done by Don Schroeder). Brown wraps with yellow edges with a band of purple at the ferrules and keeper. Agate stripping guide and black HSS snake guides. The ferrules are oxidized and re pinned and are nice and tight.
