Totally agreeing with John's description of SORCS 80 being "sort of a Dexy’s Midnight Runners meets Von LMO meets The Flesh Eaters meets the Screamers kinda punk junk" we also hear similarities to Jay Reatard's vocal delivery (and some sounds) during his Lost Sounds era

ARTIFICIAL PEACE lasted barely a year, but managed to become a leading band in the early DC scene. PETE MURRAY had played in the short lived RED C while MIKE MANOS, ROB MOSS and STEVE POLCARI were in a band called ASSAULT AND BATTERY. They were tight, fast, and aggressive, prerequisites for most of the DC bands of the time, but also had a unique sound and surprisingly catchy songs. I loved the band and offered to record
