The rod is in excellent condition. Serial #2244 built by Paul Young in 1957. The ferrule fit is perfect. Suited best for an 8 weight line. Custom shaped grip with thumb indentation is in great shape and super comfortable with only slight ridging to the cork. The rod weighs 5 7 8 oz. The original aluminum screwlock reel seat barrell was cracked so I had Bob
