Pettengill sidemount reel 7'9" was made for Young's clientsFor sale here is a nice example of a Pettengill sidemount reel. Made by Albert Pettengill circa 1887. This example, stamped "2 Pat Pdg" on the foot, has a checkered disk, a constant click, and 14 "cut outs" to allow lines to dry while still on the reel. In good condition with full unmolested foot and original wooden grasp. The nickel plating over brass is still mostly intact.
